figure78 Resume: Rodrigo R. Paz is a scientist at LSTC (LS-DYNA) (USA) and CONICET (ARG) (Inv. Adjunto, INTEC). He received his degree in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from "Universidad Nacional de Córdoba", Argentina, in 1999. In 2006, after postgraduate studies in France ( Université Pierre et Marie Currie -- Paris VI and Faculté des Sciences of the Université Jean Monnet in Saint Etienne) he received the Ph.D. degree in Engineering Sciences and Computational Mechanics from Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, where he is currently a professor in postgraduate and undergraduate programs. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics, domain decomposition methods, parallel computing, finite elements method, weak/strong fluid/structure coupling, absorbing boundary conditions, and multiphase flows. Recently, he received the 2012 Award for Young Scientists (age under 40) from the Argentine Association for Computational Mechanics (AMCA).
